The circle symbolizes
the whole world, the ecumenical spirit, fellowship among Christians. The shape
of an arrow, the first character in the Korean name for the PROK, represents
progress, a movement forward in the spirit of hope, an exodus from oppression,
liberation toward a new system of order. The blue color symbolizes freedom,
hope, youth; the purple, ordeal, endurance, justice; the white, tranquility and
purity.
