▶ 기도묵상
선하신 뜻대로 느릴 것은 느리게, 낮을 것은 낮게, 좁을 것은 좁게 창조하신 하나님.
빠른 것이, 높은 것이, 넓은 것이, 하나님의 뜻이라 살아왔던 그리고 속여 왔던 저희들의 죄악을 고백합니다. 내가 하나님 뜻보다 앞서서 이 모든 것을 바꾸려 살아가는 저희들의 죄악을 하나님 용서하여 주소서. 내가 하나님만큼 높아져서 하나님의 뜻을 꺾어 보려는 이 오만함을 용서하시고, 이 땅의 뜻에 하나님의 뜻을 내 욕심대로 끌어 왔음을 용서하여 주시고 하나님 허락하신 삶의 터전을 있는 그대로 감사하며 끊임없이 부족하다 여기는 우리들의 욕심이 이제는 멈춰지게 하소서.
빨라진 물길만큼 하나님의 노하심도 빨라질까 두렵습니다. 하나님 당신은 자비로우시며, 노하기를 더디 하시는 분인 줄 고백하오니 우리를 향한 노여움을 거둬 주시고 이제라도 우리가 그 뜻대로 살아갈 수 있도록 붙잡아 이끌어 주시옵소서. 그 자체로 생명이었던 강에 죽음의 회칠 한 저희들의 잘못을 하나님 용서하시고 그 가운데 새로운 생명을 피워 주시옵소서. 오직 한분 하나님만 하실 수 있음을 고백하오니 하나님 우리를 불쌍히 여겨 주시옵소서. 회복시켜 주시옵소서. 이 땅 새로운 생명의 노래를 부르게 하신 예수님 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.
Good-hearted God, you created all things according to your will - slow things to be slow, low things to be low, narrow things to be narrow. We confess our sin that we deceive ourselves and claim only the fast, high and wide things are the will of God. Lord, please forgive us that we put ourselves before the will of God, wanting to change all these things we claim are insufficient. Please forgive our arrogance that we claim to be able to fulfill the will of God by trying to raise ourselves as high as you, the Almighty One. Please forgive us that we have demeaned the will of God because of our greed in this land. Help us to thankfully receive the foundation of life that you, God and Creator of all things, grant us. Help us to understand our endless deficiencies and to cease our greed.
We are afraid that God’s anger may speed up as much as the accelerating waters’ flow. God of Mercy, we confess that we counted on your withholding your anger. Please withdraw your anger, hold us and lead us, even now, when it seems already to be too late, to lead a life according to your will. Lord, please forgive us our failure as we tried to whitewash the dying of that former river of life and let new life blossom in the midst of destruction. We confess that there is no one but you who is capable of giving life and we ask you to have mercy on us. Please restore what has been destroyed, let this land sing a new song of life. We pray in the name of Jesus, amen.
